Are the products new or off lease?

The pricing on our site is for new product. Looking for a discounted price? We may have some discounted off-lease product. Contact us to learn more.


What do I need to apply?

When you apply, you’ll need the following information:

  • Name, address, and contact information
  • Government ID
  • Income information
  • Bank statement
  • Personal reference and their contact information


How do I make my payments?

  • Come into or call one of our locations to make a payment
  • Set it and forget it! You can set up pre-authorized withdrawals from your bank so you’ll never miss a payment.
  • E-transfer


What forms of payment do you accept?

  • Pre-authorized payments
  • E-transfers
  • We also accept cash, debit, MasterCard and VISA in person or by phone.


What happens if I’m late on a payment?

If you know you’re going to be late on a payment, give us a call so that one of our team members can work with you.


Can I buy the product after renting it for a while?

Absolutely! In fact, if you do it in the first 90 days, you’ll get the same as cash price.


Will you run a credit check on me if I apply?

Nope. No credit check. Everyone is approved.


I have bad credit. Can I still get product from you?

Yes. Everyone is approved. We’re here to help. SMARTchoice is proud to be the only rent-to-own company that will report your good payment history to the credit bureau. 


I have had trouble getting approved with other companies. How are you different?

We don’t do credit checks. We work with our customers to help get them on the path to better credit.


I don’t want my product anymore. What are my options?

If you are renting-to-own, you can return your product at any time. Call one of our team members to make arrangements.


I would like to buy my product. What are my options?

You can always buy your product. If you are renting-to-own and choose to do so in the first 90 days, you’ll pay the same as cash.


Where do you deliver?

We currently deliver to cities in and around Kitchener/Waterloo, Hamilton and Ottawa. Check out our Delivery Areas page for more details.
